Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 12β10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (212) 941-7994. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, firstpizza.com.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in New York peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Amazing New York-style pizza! The crust was perfectly crispy, the ingredients were fresh, and the flavor was incredible. Friendly staff, fast service, and a great atmosphere. Definitely one of the best pizza spots in NYC. Highly recommended

Cash only, pizza is nicely crispy. The crust was different than Iβve had before but I enjoyed the taste. No wait either and nice inside! Margarita pizza could use just a bit more basil

Delicious pizza and great historic vibes! Loved eating here. Service was pretty good for being busy and we didn't wait for a table. Love all the momentos hanging on the wall. Pizza arrived hot and very yummy. I get the old school cash only thing but it wasn't the most convenient. Great idea to put an ATM in-house though. Recommend the pesto pizza, amazing!

Lombardi's is one of those places where the name seems to be ahead of the actual quality, and I wish it were the other way around. The pizza was okay, but nothing exceptional considering the reputation and the price. The Caesar salad was decent, but again, not memorable. Overall, the food was good enough, but far from the "must-try" experience I was expecting. The restroom was not particularly clean, which is disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber and price range. The biggest downside, however, is that they only accept cash. In 2026, at these prices, cash-only feels outdated and inconvenient. It creates unnecessary hassle for customers and leaves a poor impression. When you're charging premium prices, customers should be able to pay however they choose. Overall, it's not a bad restaurant, and I understand the historical significance, but based on the food, service, and overall experience, it simply does not justify the hype or the price.

Although I've lived in New York City all my life, this is my first time entering Lombardi's and experiencing the legendary and classic New York City Lombardi's pizza. And I have no idea why I waited so long. What was I thinking? From the time you enter Lombardi's, you are transported back to old New York City, a time when cobblestone streets and gas lamps created the backdrop of a city that was created by working immigrants who arrived in New York City searching for a new life and contributed to creating meals and restaurants that we've come to embrace to this day. A time and experience that Lombardi's has been able to capture and present for those entering the establishment. The location and decor are a true classic 1905 throwback, with the service and menu that complement and coincide with the ambiance and time. We loved it. We were welcomed with a smile and escorted to our wooden table, which was lined with a traditional red-and-white vinyl tablecloth. Our waiter was friendly, and he kindly guided us through the menu and made his recommendations as he detailed the ingredients in some of the top sellers. Although, every pie was appetizing we ordered the sausage, pepper, and o
